Finally it stopped raining and we decided to go to "Johnstone River Crocodile farm", which is about 50 kilometers from Mission Beach.

I can warmly reccomend a visit to the park but you have to be there at the feeding times, then at the same time yuo will get a tour of the park. The park is owned by a married couple, who are also active in the everyday life in the park. Bruno was with us all the way. He had fought several crocodiles and it clearly showed on his body!

Bruno visiting the largest crocodile in the park 5,2 meters and 1500 kg.

There were many oppertunities to get very close to the animals, and we started out holding snakes and small crocodiles (by the way, it was very refreshing to be able to take pictures ourselves. There were no proffessoinel photographers running around here).

All the animal keepers were very good at telling about the individuel animal and about the difference between the species.

In the park there were also cangaroos and the preserved Cassowaries (and a lot of chickens). These weird birds you can also meet in the rainforest near by.

A Cassowarie. If you meet one...run...They can be pretty agressive.

Unfortunately we can't go fishing, since the weather forecast says 20 to 25 meter a second on the ocean. I have some bad experience with that, and the captain wont sail, when its windy !

So, we talked about moving on to Cairns tomorrow, but time will tell.
